COMING FROM OUT OF PROVINCE
When moving to Alberta, in order to obtain lower insurance premiums, it is very important to acquire copies of both; your previous insurance history, and your driving record. Insurance history—also commonly referred to as a Claims Experience Letter, or No Claims Letter—needs to be requested directly from your prior insurance provider. A driving record—also known as a Driver’s Abstract, or MVR (Motor Vehicle Report)—needs to be provided directly from your prior provincial or state registries office.
We recognize all international driving experience, so long as the above-mentioned documents are provided from your country of origin.
